IRRIGATION
State Government Schemes:
The Government of Telangana prestigious programme taken up “MISSION KAKATIYA” to restore the minor irrigation sources (Tanks) in Telangana state. Restoration of the tanks involves the components of Silt removal and silt application, Restoration of Feeder channel to the tank, Repairs to The bund, weir, sluices, Irrigation channel and rising of FTL. The RDS (Loc) Division of Jogulamba Gadwal district having 638 no’s of M.I Tanks with an contemplated ayacut of 23370.00 acres.
- 1ST PHASE OF MISSION KAKATIYA PROGREMME:
In the 1st Phase 111 no of tanks are taken up in 8 mandals of Gadwal and Alampur constituencies with an agreement value of Rs. 1220.00 lakhs to stabilize an ayacut of 4696.00 acres. 1st Phase of works are completed.
- 2ND PHASE OF MISSION KAKATIYA PROGREMME:
In the 2nd Phase 92 no. of tanks are taken up in 6 mandals of Gadwal and Alampur constituencies with an agreement value of Rs. 1252.00 lakhs to stabilize an ayacut of 4963.00 acres. Out of 92 tanks, 66 tanks are completed and 20 tanks are in under progress and remaining 6 tanks are proposed to cancellation due to patta land problems.
- 3RD PHASE OF MISSION KAKATIYA PROGREMME:
In the 3rd Phase 96 no. of tanks are taken up in 6 mandals of Gadwal and Alampur constituencies with an agreement value of Rs. 1211.00 lakhs to stabilize an ayacut of 4843.00 acres. Out of 96 tanks, 26 tanks are physically completed and balance works of 61 tanks are in under progress and remaining 9 no.of tanks are proposed to cancellation due to patta land problems.
- 4th PHASE OF MISSION KAKATIYA PROGREMME:
In the 4th Phase 43 no.of tanks are taken up in 6 mandals of Gadwal and Alampur constituencies with an agreement value of Rs. 442.00 lakhs to stabilize an ayacut of 2407.00 acres, 43 no.of tanks are grounded and 10 no.of tanks are physically completed, 33 tanks are in under progress.
- 5th PHASE OF MISSION KAKATIYA PROGREMME:
In this phase 15 no of Check dam proposals are submitted to the Government and after getting administration sanctions, calling tenders and also providing off-take points at the PJP and JNLIS distributory network to feeding the chain linking tanks for improving the gap ayacut.
- MINI TANK BUND:
- The Sangala tank at Gadwal village of Gadwal mandal was sanctioned by the Government for Rs. 579 lakhs, the work is under progress.
- The Pedda cheruvu at Bingidoddi village of Ieeja mandal was sanctioned by the Government for Rs. 556 lakhs, the work is under progress.
